This bookclub is kicked up a notch to help writers understand what comprises a best seller by looking at the story elements and how they are put together.  We'll try to figure out what the author did that made the book so engaging and what techniques and strategies we can use in our own writing.

Lori DeBoer will be leading the discussion, drawing on her skills as a writing coach and editor to help you figure  out what works, what doesn't and what resonates with you.

Lori has an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in United States History.  She has practical experience helping writers bring their writing into the world. Her clients have been nominated for a several awards including the Pushcart Prize, a Glyph, a CIPA EVVY, a Tin House Literary Pick and have placed for the past several years in both the Colorado Gold and Zebulon Contests, among other honors.

The Writing Book Club is sponsored by the Boulder Book Store but to receive handouts I ask that you register for the class at Boulder Writers' Workshop Registration.

Thanks and see you there!
