A resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, Connie says growing up on a farm in Iowa was one of the best learning experiences of her life.  Now as an urbanite along the Front Range of Colorado, she brought country ways to town, living on a 1/3 acre urban homestead. Days are spent raising chickens, keeping bees, tending gardens preserving the summer harvest and making meals from whole foods.

She is the founder of Urban Overalls, a new blog dedicated to urban homesteading and self-sufficiency.  After two months of blogging, she was recently selected to be a guest blogger for Hoover's Hatchery.  Connie also spends her time teaching classes and workshops on various homesteading topics.  She is also the new editor of the Boulder Writers' Workshop newsletter.  You can follow her at Urban Overalls.
