Powering Up with Point of View – July 31

Make the most of your story telling by understanding point of view, what it is, how it works and how to use it to your advantage. Point of view, carefully chosen and executed, imbues the story with tension and meaning. In this craft workshop, you’ll learn about common point of view pitfalls and how to remedy them, as well as take a few tips from bestselling authors.

About the instructor: Lori DeBoer has an MFA in Creative Writing and has been published widely. A story from her collection was a finalist in a Glimmer Train Open Fiction contest. Her client awards include: Finalist, Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction; The Glyph Award for memoir; Third Place, Evvy Award, for inspirational writing; First Place, North American Travel Journalists Association; Salon Editor’s Pick; Finalist, Tin House Literary Award; Finalist, Southwest Writers Contest; Finalist, Colorado Book Award; First Place, Society of Professional Journalists.
